Now that I've progressed quite a bit into the story. I can see why people are loving this game as much as they are. The characters are well written, and even the MC is likable. The humor is great, and it's neat to see references to other Visual Novels. I don't know how much further I have left to go. But upon completion of version 1.2, I will certainly look forward to future updates.
Hi, I'm trying to download 1.1b for my android device but every time the download completes, all I have is the 1.0 on my device. I have tried it ten times and every time it just won't doesn't download the 1.1b version of the story. What do I do to remedy this problem?
that is strange. I'm afraid I am not much help when it comes to the android version of my game. Have you tried deleting the 1.0 version first? I know you would have to start over but you can always 'skip' through most of it. I left the option to skip even unread text available.

Just got to ask a question, the scene where MC says the "...you'll see me staring back at you" bit, is that a reference to Dune where Paul Atreides has a pop at the Benejzerat Mother? Cos if it is, top show old chap.
I was ok with the original movie, have reread the novel MANY times, but compared to Villanueve's version, David Lynch's Dune was kinda a disjointed acid trip. That being said, I also thought of Paul when I got to that scene, so much so that I nearly went back and renamed MC to Paul. :) Eagerly awaiting the public release on Monday, as I am strapped and unfortunately cannot afford the extra for a Patreon
No worries buddy... Serenity will always have a free release. Paying just gets the releases to you earlier. The downloads will be available on itch first. I always upload my public releases on itch first. ;)
0.9sp was a re-release of 0.9 (which added Day 9 content) that included redone scenes through the first couple of in-game days. 1.0b was the Day 10 content with some corrections.
Hi N2TheFire, I read that you are planning on creating wallpapers in the near future. That is an awesome idea and just saying but I think you should begin with Fade Fairy or Fade Goddess, simply because it is the Fade that keeps Serenity going and Fade Fairy or Fade Goddess is an instrumental character in the land of Serenity. Also so far I am really loving ❤ the storyline of Serenity. What do you all think?
Hey again, I just have a very quick question, Was version 1.0 that short because there will be a larger update coming out soon? I read through 1.0 in less than 40 minutes and I'm not a very quick reader, because I like to enjoy the storyline slowly. Regardless of the answer I have still voted Serenity as the best game currently on itch.io no doubt about it. However, you need to have the MC at least go and visit Cassie and Samantha because it's almost like they're both gone. A quick visit to see how they are. A king should care deeply for all his people lol. Anyway, you're doing a great job so far so keep it up.
I love the game and all the characters. Minor problem is that two girls seem to be almost forgotten. One of them (Samantha) pops up twice after their story ends but that's it. I think they as much "love" as the other girls.
Like many others I can't wait for the next update.
As this was my first project, I made this one kinetic (no branching choices) so that I could get comfortable with how the process works. However, I'll be working choices in as we get closer to the ending so that you can choose who you end up with (or if you remain a harem).

But, I have multiple endings planned with choices near the end so I'll be working on this project for quite a while and much could change over time. As for ascending the girls further (like Rin's Fury), only the 3 main Neko (that were written into the world by Karen originally) will have special abilities like that.

The only thing is... I cant call it a game at all. Just reminds me about good old visual novels, more like a book... but a little space for new flows could be great too. After finishing story there is nothing to do. Developer, it would be cool if you could consider to add free exploration mode to the game with some repeat activities and keep the actual story as main events. I definetely want to "walk" around the island on myself. Ofcourse it can be too much of work after all and too many things to change... But it could be great to turn this story to an actual game.

Note however though... the ending of Serenity will be fully branched out with choices between endings for the reader. So, you at least have that to look forward to. But we're still a very long way from that. Keep following, it will only get better. :)

But... who knows, maybe you will decide to make another game like a sequel for this story with same MC and other characters and there you could make more complicated gameplay (yeah, I think I realy like this story, a deep and good writen with a very interesting idea).

Hi, I just wanted to ask that after Ascension we see that Rin has a secret hidden ability called Fury that is activated when her anger is pushed to its limits. Do the other girls have hidden abilities and will we get to see them eventually? I'm loving this novel, so far I have read through it 8 times.
Only the 3 Nekos that were already there will have some special abilities. Rin's has been revealed already. More to come later. I love that you're really enjoying it but please don't burn yourself out on it by reading it too much! LOL
Also I attempted to install the re-render that you recently created but I don't notice any differences. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm currently using a very fast android device with top of the line processors and graphics.
I did not release anything yet. I am not sure what you tried to install. The images I posted were just a few of the shots I was sharing to give you an idea of what I am doing. You will not see any of these changes until 1.0 is released sometime next month.

All BGM with the exception of the menu is music I got from a site. It is copyright and I pay for licensing to be able to use it in Serenity. The music in the menu (when you first start the game) is my own music.
Hi N2TheFire I really am loving Serenity, As I said before IT'S EPIC, and being a story writer myself I will say that it's great that you've given each character their own unique personality but the fact that they're all in love with the main character is a bonus, also the world of Serenity has been perfectly designed to suit each character very well. So far, my 2 favourite girls in the game are Kathryn and Fade. The idea of the main character releasing Fade from her Corporeal prison and restoring her to her true form was sheer brilliance, That in itself opens up all kinds of new directions for the story to go. I'm so excited to see where it will go that I've been writing my own version of a future for Serenity, Call me crazy if you like lol but I've been writing stories for over 20 years and your visual novel has just inspired me. Oh and to answer your question from before, Yes my username is a Dragon Age reference just because it was my favourite game for a long time and it just kind of stuck with me. So is there any idea when the next update will be released, im eagerly awaiting it's arrival. Thanks very much for everything and keep up the awesome work.

Serenity may introduce a few more characters and will also have multiple endings - but we're still a long way from an ending. So hang in there and follow me here, or Patreon for updates. I try to release updates once per month.
Great game so far. Only one thing I highly recommend that not enough NSFW games do.. Please add a "hide" feature for the dialogue box, or at least the ability to adjust it's opacity.

I don't know if I can do that in renpy. I'll check with other devs but I am not sure it is possible to make it adjustable.
