Serenity Chapter 2
Serenity C2 Episode 3 (Devlog 1)
Happy weekend to everyone!
Well, it was a long wait, but finally we got to the release of Last Human episode 3. After one more week for a break, I'll pick up where I left off with Serenity episode 3 rewrite. In case some of you missed it (or forgot), I ended up trashing what I had written for episode 3 to start over. I wasn't happy with it and that's that. Now work will begin on setting things right in Serenity - and if you played the latest Last Human update, then you saw a hint of some of those changes already.
Moving on... I've said a lot recently about the things I want to do with Serenity... releasing some of the many side girls I've thoughtlessly added over the years and setting things back on track. Some of the main complaints about chapter 1 was that things moved too fast... issues were resolved fast... not enough drama... and immature writing. I tried to improve those things in chapter 2, and hopefully you're going to notice a lot more time taken with characters and actually seeing more of their character coming out in dialogue with them. After playing some other AVN's over this last week, I realized I still have plenty of room for improvement. I am no pro at this yet, I have a long way to go. But I know I can do some things that might make Serenity even better. I have a bad habit of trying to get as many characters into an episode as possible. Not anymore. From here on out, each episode will focus on a few characters mostly, and push the plot along. I also know that lewd scenes could be longer. I am working on that as well. More camera angles, and a better 'build up' and anticipation. More time spent on creating smoother animations too. I admit I am still not very good with animations, but even I can see that I have improved since those early days in chapter 1.

Coming up in Serenity C2 Episode 3: If you recall, episode 2 ended with Jasmine stressing with Kat about some bad shit happening from reading old books and prophecies. However, as Yoda would say, "a prophecy... that misread could have been". MC will find his own answers without the books. Fereldan himself (sort of) will come into play. And a few 'guest' girls will return home, but we may see them again at some point. And it's Serenity, so definitely some new fun lewd stuff (must feed the fade). MC will find tasks for some of the other (side) girls. And finally, if you recall, MC's harem having all now fully ascended... They will have a unique ability to combine into one girl. You'll be seeing some renders of her soon. I made a very short video of her quite a while back, but I've changed her since then. Anyway, there are a few bigger spoilers but I won't ruin it all for you. This episode will be a busy one, and if it goes the way I think it will, a long one.

Projected release of Serenity's next update: Honestly, I wish I could say with confidence that it will be December. But this will be the biggest update I've ever done (for either game). So straight up... it could bleed over into January (under normal circumstances, each update development period for me is between 2 and 3 months). With that said, there is a slight chance I could actually hit a December release date. I'll be on vacation from my full time job from November 23rd, to December 3rd. Now, outside of the Thanksgiving holiday, that means I have at least 10 full days I can work 100% on the game. I will do as much as I can during that time, while still enjoying the time off. But, as always, no promises yet. It all depends on how things go from here on out.
If you subbed to get the Last Human update recently then cancelled, I want to thank you for that support and I hope you'll come back again. And those of you who continue to support me monthly, thank you so much. I appreciate it very much. As some of you know, I was hit with some unexpected financial bullshit recently... the money I make here helped a lot with that. In fact, if not for this small monthly income on the side, we probably would have had to take out a loan (something I loathe doing). So, big hugs and 'thank you's to all of you from both my wife and myself.

I can feel that the old Fire is back (pun intended and not intended at the same time. Dunno how, but... yea) just from the straight up way you wrote this log, no BS, straight to the point, mind on the fade, the shade, the white and dark flames, Rin's boo- no, not that.
Can't say much else other than I'm excited to meet the new girl and see the development of this plot involving the dark flame. Meeting the Fade Mother/Queen/Goddess was a heart-shaking moment, both in the excitement of meeting such an important figure, and in the heartwarming, slow and almost mysterious way we're thrown into the scene itself. For the MC, she's only known by name and history, nothing else. But for... Milanna(?) (I'm either misspelling her name or giving the completely wrong one) is a relief, it almost felt like she was greeting a long lost lover and her last hope of life at the same time.
Gotta say though, out of all the girls who gonna say a brief goodbye, Mom's gonna hit me the hardest. It always felt like Karen was a guide, a safe place. I probably feel that way 'cause I lived my entire life without such a figure... but anyway. My hope is that this will open space for characters like Jas, who's the literal counselor of the King, if my Serenity lore doesn't fail me. And even before ascending she was already the big, brainiac sister that kept everyone together.
On a side note, I'm kind of curious on that "misread prophecy" bit of yours. I know it was a reference, but even then, It wouldn't surprise me if the MC found a way around what has to happen to a certain character in order for him to reveal the dark flame. Or maybe it would, since I had already come to terms with the possibility of what needs to happen to said character.
Well, I'm gonna shut my big, fat bread hole and get back to playing through Last Human again to the most recent update (because... well... reasons!) and see the little sneak peeks you mentioned at what's going on in the island. Stay safe, Fire!

Question will there be pregnancy in both VN"s or just one?
