So... Happy weekend again everyone :)

I skipped my usual devlog last week, so prepare for my wall of text! haha! I honestly didn't have much to report, and I was pretty busy to be honest. But I've done well to manage time with my full-time job, and time for Serenity. So, no worries, things are still going pretty well. There are spoilers ahead... so if you hate them, don't read beyond the first sentence of this next paragraph (and hope you have a wonderful weekend!)

(SPOILERS from here on...) So, I am right at about 65% through the coding process. Story/dialogue is done, just getting it into renpy and making corrections and adjustments as I go along. Although we've got a bit of drama coming up in our little world, we're not rushing towards it. This may be partial spoiler material, but it shouldn't come as much of a surprise for my fans who read my devlogs every week... this episode will see 2 guests depart our world. I only spoil that because I really didn't want that part to come as some kind of shock to some. Frankly, it shouldn't be a big deal because they were never part of the main plot anyway (added just for some fun scenes if I'm honest). Later, we'll see another depart... Lili. But she still has something to do yet. That won't happen in episode 3 (possibly not until episode 5). I've been asked by a few if Cryoxxx will bring her back in Oppai Odyssey - I really don't know truthfully. But I don't think so. I know, I'm sorry to you Lili fans. I can tell you that I've let him know that's coming in my game, so he is aware. A crossover could be possible if he chooses to do so, but OO is pretty far away from the time when she was part of the story. Anyway, moving on...

As I said, we're not rushing towards the drama right now. It's there and the characters know what is coming... it's one of those things that 'must be done' but 'not right away'. And MC wants to chill with his girls a bit. Fulfil some wishes on earth, and little by little, they'll also make necessary preparations for what they have to do. You'll understand pretty quickly during the beginning of the episode. Right now, the girls will learn that they (all six of them) have one more ability that they've not yet used. Remember, early in the story, each girl would learn during their ascension that they were MC's 'weapon' or 'shield'. All of them will become both. Imagine one girl with all of their personalities combined. A little part of each girl is there. Each of their powers and personality. It is going to make for some fun scenes later that I can't wait to put together. I have a special, very long scene already written for that moment when the conjunction happens. She will need some fade. You know the drill boys and girls... needless to say, I will be putting in a lot of work on that scene. It will be the longest sex scene I've ever done.

Sorry for all the spoilers. But it really is just a drop in the bucket compared to the content I have planned for the next few episodes of Serenity. So, it isn't as much as you think. I still have plenty of surprises in store for you guys. My fellow anime fans will like the character I decided to create for the wish scenes in this episode. I'm not going to tell you who she is... we'll wait and see if anyone recognizes her. I found that someone had a card for her for HS2. I had to edit the hell out of her though because she looked way too anime against my current characters. So, she was pretty much redone from scratch. But the elements are all there and she looks great. There are certain settings and standard things I like to use for my characters before I put them in my game. Anyway, I think you anime fans will enjoy that (at least I hope you know who she is). I came up with the idea of using characters like this for people on earth who made wishes. And already have ideas for several others.

As for when to expect the release? I don't know if I will make it by Christmas. I really wanted to, but realistically, this is a long episode with a lot of scenes that will require a lot of attention to detail. Quite a few scenes with multiple characters in them (which is always harder on my PC). That plus the effects, there are a lot of effects in Serenity. If a scene requires 4 or more characters in it, along with effects, I have to place and pose one character at a time, turn that character off, then setup the next character, etc., until they're all done. Add effects (or whatever else) then turn all of them on and render it. I'm trying to be a bit more creative with how a scene plays out to minimize that because those kinds of scenes can slow me down quite a bit. At the same time, I really like getting several characters in on a scene, at least in a few shots.

Well, I think I've run my mouth long enough. Hopefully some of this gets you excited for this release and others coming after it. I have a few small things to do this weekend, but the rest of the time will be nothing but Serenity. Enjoy the render - the first 3 girls you met when you arrived in Serenity as they are today.
