Bound for the Starship Aurora in orbit around your dying world, you meet two Nekos who accidentally travel through an experimental wormhole to join you.
The earth has become a desolate and brutally cold place. All of the human race has died off. But you were saved because of your father, a scientist and inventor who designed the base you live in and helped you on the path to getting off the planet and aboard the waiting starship Aurora. Beyond that, the universe holds many adventures, dangers, and new worlds to discover. Your first mission... Getting these Nekos back to Pantheria. But on arrival, you find yourself being forced to fight another very familiar and very powerful Neko.
Last Human is a story I started to write quite a few years ago. I started this project some time ago with another dev (Nope), but never got it off the ground. I took over the project, scrapped everything we had done and began again. My vision is simple: a science fiction fantasy with Nekos and some lewd fun mixed in with the usual comedy, romance, drama, and fun. This is not just a 'fuck' game; this is a series; a story (with some sex thrown in). The love interests will be a 'harem' and also your crew aboard the Aurora. Think "Star Trek" for adults.

It is quite clear that Woonz has no comprehension, even after N2's responses, of not only what it takes to develop these games including N2's PERSONAL CHOICE to develop interlocking games side by side to keep the story lines straight and the mind and creative juices flowing, while dealing with REAL LIFE responsibilities. The kind of counter productive feedback Woonz is pushing repeating the same redoric is one of the reasons so many developers abandon GOOD Quality games due to burn out and lost creativity brought on by abuse of members of the community who have no understanding of what it takes and how people deal differently with their daily life and choices such as developing games that are side games or interlocking games with each other. N2 deserves respect for all the effort he puts into games he is developing. I have these games and I found how the development for each one has taken to be acceptible because of the quality and longer play time each update affords me compared to some developers who, due to the pressure by impatient players, rush updates out to keep these "nay sayers" appeased.
While most developers, including N2, accept both positive and negative feedback, none of them deserve abusive feedback. And N2TheFire produces quality games and releases quality updates as his real life allows him to do while keeping updates at the level of performance quality HE desires, and expects, of himself.
And. To N2. I read all of your responses to Woonz. You paid more respect to this person than they deserve, in my opinion. All good on you! I would not have been so measured in my responses. But then again. I accept the effects REAL LIFE has on ANYONE!

No worries. One guy isn't going to push me away from my projects. My skin is a bit thicker than that. Just have to get all this retirement business completed, then I'll finally be free and can get back to developing these games the way I originally intended. Thanks for the kind words :)

How is the animation ?
This game gets chapter updates slower than Artemis. And that's saying something.
Considering the fact that N2 is working on multiple inter-connected games all at the same time practically alone means that respect should be provided to them for their efforts. Presently they are working on 2 fully active games and a 3rd game, a spin off of Serenity, so please show them some respect. The quality of the games shows they are putting in a great deal of work to provide us with games that we can enjoy on multiple levels.
Many developers, who produce frequent updates to keep people happy, do not produce the quality, much less the play time, that N2 offers us. Between play time and quality we have nothing to actually complain about with this developer.
Oh. Also. Let us not forget that all of these efforts by N2 are while they are working a real life job and dealing with real life issues at the same time.
Now. Ask yourself.. Can you do any better? I know I surely can NOT.

Working on multiple games at the same time is retarded. You've gone beyond simping to fellating. The dev's created a good game. I think it's foolish to be working on multiple games at the same time. I don't respect that.
Either you don't follow me enough to know my situation, or you have some misguided understanding of just what it takes to make these games. If you were saying that to a big, rich game development company, it might be understood. But in this platform, it's way off base. I don't ask for nor require anyone's respect. But at least know the floor you stand on before setting it on fire. From the beginning, I WANTED to make two games that had a connection. I did it this way on purpose. As I stated in quite a few of my devlogs (which I'm assuming you've never read), I also chose to do this to help stave off burnout on one story. One of the reasons so many devs start one of these games only to abandon them near the end is because they get burnt out working on the same story for (in some cases) several years. With that said, we're nearing the end of Serenity. So my time working on 2 games in tandem is coming to an end soon. To come here and use words like "retarded", "simping", "fellating", and expressing your "disrespect" to someone who is doing their best to make something good is counterproductive. Now, if I were trying to work on 4 games at one time, maybe I'd be off my rocker. In my opinion, there is nothing wrong with working on two games as long as it works and keeps me focused; and not in a constant state of writer's block or loss of interest.
I know you've got your reasons for working on multiple games. They're your reasons and you're entitled to that. I just happen to disagree with those reasons being reasonable and acceptable, especially when even one chapter takes long enough, let alone working on something else in between. Your game may as well be abandoned - even if it technically isn't - given how long new chapter releases take. If you need to take a break, take a month off, that's reasonable. Working on another project isn't reasonable, especially to patrons.
I can understand why you've chosen to do as you have, but can you put yourself in the shoes of those that consume your work and see how your position may frustrate some? Would you continue to be engaged in a story that may take well over a year for a new chapter to be released? Do you think your massive delays are considered reasonable, not from your POV, but from the consumers POV? If you're to be honest, I doubt it.
You may not like certain feedback, but understand where it comes from. I've provided enough to answer that.
It isn't that I dislike your feedback. I disagree with it, yes. The fact that I work on two games has absolutely nothing to do with how long it has taken since my last release. I am well aware of how long it has been - I probably beat myself up over that fact more than you could. But it isn't because I work on two games. On that you're wrong. Before all the shitshow happened to me over the last year. i was releasing every 2 to 3 months. And once I am retired, I'll be able to get back to that. But maybe you don't even know that I've also been working a full time job at the same time and now I'm about to retire. You talk like I have no clue what's going on with my own followers and patrons.
I AM in the shoes of others who play these games. I began this as a major fan of quite a few. And have become close friends with many other devs. You sit here trying to explain this to me as if you think I have no idea what's going on. Man I've been doing this for about 5 years now. And now you're accusing me of not seeing things from your perspective? Consumers? You do realize that my games are free and that basically what little money I make at this is solely at the whim of whoever chooses to subscribe, donate, or whatever, right? And what... do you think I make 5 figures every month? Not hardly. I started doing this because I'm a creative person and I enjoy it. And now finally I'll get to do it without the full time job in the way. The income side of it started off as just a plus. So before you say anything about losing patrons or donations, you should know that when I retire, my income will be reduced by a THIRD. And still I'll be doing this whether people continue to subscribe or not.
I am engaged in stories right now that have extremely long delays between updates. But I'm not complaining about it because I know what it takes to do this. I know the sacrifices it takes and I know what it does to a family when you stay busy at your computer every day. Do you?
Don't get me wrong Woonz. I LOVE feedback, even the negative. I have said that at least a thousand times since I first started.. But you came in my post and basically said that you have no respect for me because I work on two games. All without knowing anything about me or my life. So fine, you don't respect me. What was the point of bothering to even comment on a post from a dev you have no respect for?
That's all I'll say about it. I hope you go back and read up on some of the things I've been dealing with, then maybe you'll have a much better understanding of why things have gone the way they have for me, and why I vehemently defend myself here now. I rarely bite back at people in these comments anymore but I'm sick of people thinking we as AVN devs can't stand up and defend ourselves and our work, especially to people who haven't got a clue what it takes. And I honestly didn't intend for this to sound like biting back. So... sorry about that. Peace...
This Game ist good,but why can the MC Not make Choices You can Choice The MC Name,and The Name The Necos give you when they Claim The MC.And nothing more.The Game hast Potential,but with No Choices, its Not a good Idea .
You comment describes a "KINETIC" novel perfectly... which is how my game is described. It is listed as a kinetic visual novel. If you don't like kinetic novels, then you just happened to choose the wrong one.

Can I recommend that the pet name be able to have one for what you call the girls & a different one for what they call you?
You can default it to have both as they currently are of course but that would open things up in a really cool way.
That way you could have them call MC "sir" & call them "pet" or anything really.
Love the game, found a bug with the latest update. It seems the titles have gotten a bit bugged and is using the placeholder rather than the chosen titles (ex. [Pet] and [MC]). A way to adjust the titles on the options menu may help with this one.

Okay, so the game is interesting, and I'm excited to see where this is going.
One thing I did that I'm not quite sure I regret is changing the title of "pet" to "boy" and my world does the dialog is sometimes 10/10 peak comedy with that single change XD

He might have gotten the character card for Honeyselect from the dev, or he just played with the sliders until he had recreated her model.
Which game should one play first, this or Serenity?
It probably doesn't matter, but I'd probably play Serenity first (if you can stick through my rough first chapter). You can really play either game first because if you play Last Human first, you can always go play Serenity to learn about Rin and where she came from.

I played both at the same time because at a certain point they cross..
Discovered serenity from this game, Kind of wish I had started with Serenity first as the crossovers make more sense. Though I am liking the upgrades being staggered between the stories so they interlock more.

Hey N2thefire love the games so far would be better if the girls have voices to make the game better just idea for you. But I would like to ask for help in making a VN game how would I go about starting and getting help with it
On voices: never happen. If you think development takes a long time now... You have to remember I'm one person doing the work of many. Voice actresses need to get paid too and I don't make enough for that. And I refuse to use AI voices... I've heard that done and I just don't like it.
On starting your VN: You will find it really difficult to find a dev willing to try to help you with this. Aside from the fact that we really don't have time; it's a complicated process to teach someone how to code, render, and animate. And that is only a part of it. I had to learn most of this stuff on my own. And if I'm honest, it really is the best way. I will give you this advice though - You're going to need Renpy. Google it. You need that to code (make your game story and dialogue). The site has tons of documentation and comes with an example game. You're also going to need images, and what you use is up to you - HoneySelect, HoneySelect2, or go the more challenging route and try DAZ3d. I would advise using HoneySelect2 (LH and Serenity use this). Download it and just start using it.

Bro please keep Rin in next episode it is not about fap or something she is a cool character as to the point some of the characters are just out of place like Dezzy or Kaline keeping Rin in line won't matter so much but yeah love your game and only the game with story I liked sooo much hope won't disappoint in the furthermore episodes as well
Rin isn't going anywhere. She will visit in various episodes. She remains the only constant connection between Serenity and Last Human.

Yep, but I develop 2 games and take turns with them. Right now I am working on Serenity Chapter 2 (episode 4). Once that is finished, I'll work on Last Human again.

Any chance of a 3rd season or chapter of Serenity? Perhaps a spin-off of the Serenity series featuring MC's sister's "Universe"? I already said I would like to see Last Human go for several seasons/chapters. There is HUGE potential for the game storyline if you are up to it. I suppose it all depends on how in depth your creativity gets submerged in the new game you have mentioned. I will be watching for a demo or prologue for it. Keep up the great storytelling! We all want MOOORRREEE!!
No, I don't think I'll be doing a 3rd season. But I won't rule out the possibility of revisiting the series - perhaps later down the road. I've been working on Serenity for around 6 years now and really want to move on to something else. Last Human will go on though. And I will be doing a single game based on Camilla.
Thanks for the response. I understand the need for change but I am thrilled at the idea of a release based on Camilla's story. And of course the Last Human "Will go on".. YES!!!! That might allow for random visitations by Serenity caste members like Rin and our favorite others hopefully. I say Rin since that has already been illuded to through her conversations with "Mother"... I know I am not the only fan who just litterally is chomping at the bit for more.. Really good Visuel Novel! You did a great job! Only one thing that i miss at some point of the game is some Music or Soundtrack. I know you have some but not everywhere and for me personally it gets quit silent some times. But on the other hand the Soundtrack you have already is pretty good! And one more thing, how is the Song called after you wake up with Kalina in the desert?

N2 you know how to make a story man i thought i knew what would happen but you made it the opposite really good game so far
There are a bunch of images that are not found during the dream world sequence with the white haired version of the MC. They have something to do with the girl the game MC needs to help get to home to her own world. Is there a source to download a patch of these missing images to add to the v0.7 of the game?
You have either overwritten your previous version game folder with the new one, or you got a bad download. That scene was removed a long time ago. Make sure when you download the latest version, you extract it to its own, new folder (NOT over the old version). If you are using mods (there is a naming mod for LH out there), that mod has to be up to date or it will screw up your game.
I think you are probably right. The renaming mod I have does not match the game. That is probably the problem. I will do a clean re-install without the mod and see if the images come in clean. Thanks!
fwiw - when I release a new version, never extract it over your old version either. Always to a new folder of its own. That will also cause issues. And any AVN where you're using mods, you should always check the version of the mod before you apply it. Those mods change a lot of script files and can overwrite the newer one with an older one. Good luck :)
I picked up a fresh download, purged the old installation as well as the save folder for it then installed the fresh download in a new folder. I just started the game fresh at day one and have worked through Pet Bond 1 (Alexi). At point of introduction to Coach Vivian. So. Still have some ground to cover so I can find out if the images that where missing before are now accessible. Fingers crossed and as with Serenity C2. Looking forward to next update releases! Love your works N2!! Cannot wait to see what else you come up with in the future!
I know you dont have anything to do with apk but do you know why it downloads as lasthuman1 and it wont open because it says its part of the app last human
It is supposed to be like that because there will be a lasthuman2 once the first season is completed. As for it not running, I have no idea, sorry!

No one seems to notice that MC did NOT readily accept anything. And that little scene (that is really ridiculously minor in the grand scheme of things) was merely setting up the way Rin's character is going to be when she does appear in the story. So everyone please relax and trust me. At least allow me the chance to finish some episodes and open up these little bits of story before you freak out. LOL

You'd be the first to mention this. I've been chatting with 4 other android users who have already completed the game on their devices.
It's well known APKs over 2GB won't install on many devices.
Yes, I am fully aware. But I also have made it pretty clear that I don't directly support the android build - I add the apk because renpy has the option to create it. I know very little about androids. What you may need is a compressed version of the game. There are people who make compressed versions of VNs regularly. There is one in the Last Human F95 thread that someone did but itch won't let me send you the link.
If you want to use it get an APK signer. you can get one from the android store. I haven't ran into any problems using them yet.
I'm not downloading third party apps to fix broken apps.

Let's not turn this into some kind of debate. I know (that it is well known) about android and the 2gb limit. Everyone knows that. However, I have a LOT of android users who download every release and they never have an issue. As I do not directly support android build (because I don't own an android and I am not an android programmer), I have no idea why most people have no issue with it, then every now and then someone (like you) says it won't work. Is it because you have an older model phone, or is the android version not the latest version? I wouldn't know even if you answered that - hence the reason I don't support it. I didn't want to even build an android version, but chose to do so because the renpy system has the apk builder already built-in.
I agree with wuki1989! This is a great game with a greater deal of potential. I could seriously see multiple seasons of this game covering the adventures of the last human ship's capitan and his Neko crew as they prowl about the universe exploring and finding new places, races, and spaces. Think about that last one while considering their teleporation technology. Why limit it to this dimension? HINT HINT!

So far there is a clean story you're telling and I defenately want to see how this continues and even more how all plays out once you have finished Last Human.I actually particularly liked the scene in the court.It was serious,also emotional and at the same time funny at the end
Please keep up the good work and don't abandon the project. There are so many unfinished VNs that started well but are never finished. It would be a shame if Last Human became one of them.
I have no intention of abandoning Last Human. I'm going to be around for a while, releasing episodes until season one is finished. And I have plans for a season 2. So hang in there.

Last Human is defenately one of the better VN we have so far. Sometimes you don't need a game or several choices at all like in other VN , it's also a good experience to sit back and simply read a good written story. Your VN is a real good example for that :)

I do not know a lot about android. I only build it because renpy has an option to do so and this build was successful. I can also tell you that several other of my android users had no issues.
I am attempting to rebuild the APK for android. I tried to run in my android emulator and I got basically the same message. I'll make a post about it once completed and uploaded.

This may be a little weird but if you're taking sugyes in most animes and other stuff usually cat girls / neko girls For some reason their tails are extremely sensitive in a really lewd way 😏 It's just a suggestion that's all
I only just discovered Last Human but Serenity was one of the very first AVNs I ever read and enjoyed! Ill always remember it fondly!
I liked Last Human, I enjoyed the pacing and all of the girls are lovely. Alexis and Natalie are my favs so far. I do tend to struggle with Tsundere though, so it took me a little while to warm up to Lexi.

I haven't decided that yet. Pregnancy (children) will complicate things for a story that I still plan to go at least 2 seasons. Also, children in adult VNs (even if not involved sexually) cause a lot of issues with providers like itch, Patreon, etc... Unless I am ending the story with that, it won't be in the game.
Would a fertilization animation with a pregnancy ending work or nah?

I like how all the games tie into each other and how you have made a way to bring them all together making this story even better, I read Serenity first before starting this but I'm looking forward to how far the story goes and the interactions between all three
same, i also played serenity first, and gave it like maybe 6-7/10. and i'm not really much of a fan of 'tie in's (its kinda like breaking the 4th wall), but the way Last Human handles the cameo appearances without breaking the 4th wall is kinda unique (even kinda making yourself a cross-over character (in fact i LOLd when rin said "he even has the same name", cos like, yeah, i namechange to Ghryst in every game i possibly can), and it boosts the score of both games simply with the way its done.
