Greetings Neko Lovers!

Another quick devlog, as I've had to make decisions and change a few plans from the last post. First of all, day 8 is shaping up to be a fairly long update compared to my previous releases since there is quite a bit of plot content to cover. I can't wait to complete this so you all can see it...

The new skin mod Cryoxxx and I have started using is very cool indeed. However, I've had to scrap the idea of adding that in Serenity (for now). It is a bit problematic and I just don't have time to spend "fixing" things in every scene. As you guys know, I pride myself in having a LOT of images through scenes and during conversations. I do it this way because it is what I like to see in a visual novel. Facial expressions, gestures, etc... It's a small thing I know, but I like it. But, because I do so many more images than most other VN's, it also means I need more render time. So, for now, I'll be saving the skin mod renders for commissions only (Fade Crown tier). At least until the next game I do after this one.

Now, of course this doesn't really hurt Serenity, as I think the normal skin texture on my girls always looked great. Especially since I think I have improved my lighting ability on characters. With that said, I did make an improvement which I am already implementing in current renders and moving forward. The two images on this post are identical, but if you look closer, one is just slightly smoother. I thought other devs were kindof crazy to be rendering in 4k then having to resize but after doing this for myself and seeing the difference up close, I have to say it is definitely worth the little extra effort. You can grab the full size images in the zip attached. The "flamegoddess01.webp" is the old way I've been rendering (straight to 1920X1080) and "flamegoddess02.webp" is rendered at 2160X3840 then resized down to 1920X1080).

That's all I have for now. I just crossed over the midway point in rendering for day 8 last night... so I'm moving along at a great pace to have the first release (to Fade Goddess and higher tiers) ready before the end of the month! And thank you to all my new followers as well as my new patrons!
