Hello my friends! As you can imagine, I've been quite busy. I recently announced that the next update would be delayed by an extra month. I apologize, I know you are all anxious to see where the fade takes us next! I'm posting this special devlog to update you guys on exactly what's happening in the world of Serenity and where I'm at currently.

As I said, I had announced that my next release would be delayed so that I could spend some time redoing earlier scenes and making some major improvements. And so far, that task is going as well as I could have hoped. At this point, I have completely re-rendered the following scenes: First time seeing Kat at your house (after meeting Trina in her office during the very first scene of the story). Waking up the next morning with Kat, the shower scene with Kat (with an added animation). MC and Kat meeting Trina together at her office to read the book. And now I am working on the scene where MC arrives at the island. I just completed the confrontation with Morgan and am now at the point where MC first uses fade magic to make Mom appear.

I will continue redoing and completing the scene with Mom up until you're in the back yard of your house in Serenity. After that, I'll start working the next set of scenes on the island where you confront Morgan again, and our sexy little Nekos come and rescue you. Finally, I want to redo the scene where Kat ascends and hopefully add a proper animation there. Once I've finished all of that, I'll immediately begin rendering graphics for Day 10 (the coding for that is already completed).

I have received some reports of an error message some are getting after installing 0.9. I think I have narrowed down why some have this error and some do not. If you installed Serenity 0.9 over your 0.8 or 0.7 installation... you are going to have some problems. To resolve this, please install 0.9 alone (in its own folder) instead of overwriting the previous version. The reason for this is because I recently started archiving my files to reduce the number of files in the game folder and to organize them better. Doing this also reduces the overall zip file size. The error comes from some non-archived files/folders being mixed with archived ones, causing conflicts and missing file errors. If after installing 0.9 to its own folder you don't find your saves, simply go into your previous game folder under "game" and copy the "saves" folder to the same location in your 0.9 folder, then restart your game. They should be there.

FWIW, I think this may be an issue mostly for GameJolt members because I was told it has some kind of installer. I've never downloaded my own game from GameJolt, but after hearing about this, I'll do that today to get a better understanding of how that works and try to avoid further changes that might affect that process.

And now, here are a few preview images from the redone scenes. I can't wait to finish this and get some feedback. Thank you for your patience while I try to perfect what I started. Once this is all complete, we can move on and experience the next adventure in our little world in the void.
