You guys missing the girls yet? I know, me too! The last month has been a busy one for my full-time job and I barely got anything done. Everything seems to go wrong for an IT person at all the wrong times. It's just how it is. So, you guys will have to be patient with me. Last week I told my boss I was getting burnt out. I told him I wanted to take a week off. That was going to be this week, but we all had to be in the office yesterday to tie up loose ends on all the network issues one of our sites was having over the last month. Anyway, at the end of the day he came to me and said - go home, and don't come back until next Tuesday. I said nothing... packed up my laptop, grabbed my coffee mug and keys - then out the door I went.

Now with seven solid days of being able to focus on Serenity, I am posting this devlog then I'll continue working on episode 1. This is a rare opportunity for me because for the next week, my ONLY job is Serenity. And make no mistake, I have a lot to do.

Serenity C2, Episode 1 will be the beginning of our group settling into their roles. Some (light) inner drama and funny situations. How will Kat react to Triss? What's up with Celeste and Melody showing up? And what about Lili? This episode will begin each of those story arcs. But also, as the girls get bored later in the chapter... MC has to come up with an outlet for them. The work of granting wishes/dreams down on Earth continues, and there will be some much-needed dates and intimate time with each of the girls. And then there is Camilla's story arc, which will also begin in this episode. There will be a lot happening and it may seem fast at first, but it will slow down in episode 2 as we start to focus on each arc.

Development: So, the dialogue is all written and coded. I've done some preliminary artwork (base maps) to give me a small head-start for some sections. The image in this post is not from the episode - it's a custom CG that was done for one of my Crown tier patrons. I liked it so much I thought I would share it. As I get some graphics completed, I'll be sharing some previews as usual. Aside from rendering the scenes, there are some GUI elements I need to finish working on. I have a new menu and need to build a new main menu image, and code the episode guide I am planning to add.
